Seahorse Dream Meaning and Interpretations

11

Seahorse Dream Symbol – Seahorse brings messages of persistence to your dreams. While maintaining persistence, you may also need to remain flexible to attain your goals. Seahorse reminds to take time out to look within when lost or confused. Look at the current situation on all levels for better clarity. Let your instincts push you in the right direction and go with the flow. Once you have confidence in where you are going, focus directly on reaching your goals.

Seahorse can also mean you have procrastinated for too long. You keep choosing the safe options. Not daring to move outside of your comfort zone, which is something that can hold you back. It is time to let go of all fear and start actively making your dreams come true.

Seahorse is considered a good luck charm by many old cultures. She symbolizes the strength and power of your subconscious. You may need to change your perspective about something or someone. Or, there may be something you are refusing to acknowledge. What or who could this be?

With seahorse’s calm demeanor, she happily lives her life in the sea. She is never in a hurry. She wanders through life without a care in the world. This can indicate to you there is no rush to get things at this time. Everything will move at its own pace.

Seahorse teaches profound lessons in contentment. They are happy in themselves and have no need to change. Alternatively, this carefree approach to life and resistance to change comes at the price of stubbornness and inflexibility. While it is good to be persistent in what you want to achieve, there are times when being flexible is to your long-term advantage.

Seahorse is a boney little creature, which can indicate you either need protecting or you are protecting yourself with walls to keep anything out. This can mean you should be wary of leaving yourself too open to others agendas or you need to let your guard down to let new opportunities in. Which is it? Having walls up for too long can keep out positive experiences as well as those that hurt you.

Seahorse has the ability to move its eyes independently of each other. This symbolizes its keen awareness of her surroundings. Her perception and ability to see to the heart of matters is sometimes uncanny. You have this ability too. Open your heart and listen to your intuition to see with a new perception.

When Seahorse crosses your Path

Seahorse crosses your path to teach lessons about dancing through life. This helps you to see with better clarity and navigate the emotional turmoil throughout your life.

  1. Ok i want to be bery clear. I do not dream in super high definition. This dream was like watching Avatar. To make it short and sweet, i was in a dark room of sorts and i was looking up at this floor to ceiling sized aquarium that kind of wrapped around a central area. I could see a man like creature slowly gliding around inside. So i peered over the top to look inside. It swam to the surface and i seen its kinda sorta not really humanoid head break the surface and make direct eye contact with me. I wasnt frightened. I didnt experience any kind of negative emotion. In fact in my dream i followed it out of curiosity around the tank until it popped its head out once again and spoke to me in a very deep voice. I could not make out what he was saying. The only thing i could notice was the irrodecosent colors traveling across its dark stoney looking skin. Like i said, avatar! But thats when the dream came to a screeching hault when a shark swam across the avatar sea horse man and bit his whole face off. Like 90% of his head. Yet i still didnt feel anxiety or nervousness in my dream whatsoever. For some reason, as the sea horse man drifted in the tank, i was still able to communicate with him, somehow understanding that he was unfazed by what had just happened and he was completely ok. Like he was smiling at me without the face to do it. And thats when i woke up. The end. This was the second time i have had a dream with a spirit totem. These dreams are mindblowing, not for thier content, but for the impact it has on me during the dream itself. Rock on sea horses!

  3. In my dream, there was what seemed like a forest of plants that looked like rainbow colored seahorses (and moved), and they were coming from white tube-like trees. I’ve been trying to figure out the meaning of this, and if anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

  4. I dreamed of a seahorse kissing another seahorse and I was trying to find a way to take a photo of it. It seems like it was flying instead of being in water because I tried moving it but it floated right back to kissing the other seahorse.

  5. I dream I am standing at a very very very very large aquarium and it’s filled with nothing but seahorses

  6. Uh, hi! I don’t sleep often (enough), and I never remember my dreams, but this one is stuck with me and I just need to know what it could mean.
A little weird, but please bear with me…

I’m running and hiding from I don’t know what in this withering, war torn, yet beautiful city. I am accompanied by a soldier whose face I don’t remember.
We reach a tall building and the whole world is shaking and thundering. He tells me we have to take the stairs, not the elevator, and he pushes me through the door of the stair well. We have to fight our way up, and the stairs are insane- sometimes they seem to be ladders balanced and laid over each other. When we finally reach the top, he tells me to keep going, and genus swallowed up by whatever is after us.
I continue and I’m suddenly in a quiet, elegant room that looks almost Victorian. There’s a lot of people, all dressed regally, and they all seemed to have been expecting me, but they were also expecting the soldier. Apparently we were the answer to their problems, and they’re all very frustrated that I arrived without him. They leave me and go huddle to discuss in their study. I let myself wander onto the balcony. It is night time, but the lighting on the balcony lets me see the war torn city below.
An older, gentle woman with dark skin reaches for me and points into the rubble.
“See that crib?” she asked. “There’s still hope. Here’s what you need to do…”
I don’t remember what she told me to do, but I remember obeying her, and then there was a shock of white light, and I’m suddenly walking back into the home with something bundled in my arms.
It is a large sea horse that looks like it is made of precious green stones. It looks solid, but when I gently stroke it’s cheek, it is soft and warm. I wander past the people who had greeted me here, almost sneak past them, not wanting them to lay eyes on the thing I guess I gave birth to?
Past the study, there is a bedroom that looks out over the city, and I sit there, holding the sea horse child until the whole group realize what has happened and rush to join me and inspect the bundle I’m holding.
They chatter about how they didn’t think it was possible, and one talks about his sea horse tattoo and his it will protect him, and another asks “should we tell them?” and that’s about all I remember.

It was insanely weird, and I guess almost videogame-ish? I don’t know what to make of it though

  7. Mine was a little different. I need some advice about what you think…. mine starts off with me waking up in my bed and seeing a glowing thing on my dresser. I walk over and it is a glowing blue seahorse. I grab it and walk back to my bed and the Dream ends. I have had this dream 17 nights in a row but last night it was different. Last night the same thing happened but instead of the Dream ending I looked to the right and my Aunt was sitting in my bed next to me with this disturbing yellow glowing thing next to her. The thing snapped its head at me and the Dream ended there. What do you think this means? I am having a hard time sleeping after that Dream.

  8. I keep seeing seahorses not only in dreams but in life. I seem to be drawn to them recently. After reading this and other sites I have decided that A I need to be patient for things to work out B I am strong and get through the current struggle I am in C I need to let my guard down as I have been very guarded with my heart. Thank you!

  9. Susan Chadwick on

I dreamed a swarm of colorful seahorses were flying overhead and occasionally one would dip down to the pool for a quick drink. I kept trying to point them out to the others but no one looked up to see them.
I am really looking for the meaning of this dream.

  10. Bernadette Brown on

I dreamt that a co- worker and I were sitting outside when about 2-3 seahorses came bouncing in our space. One particular seahorse popped up and down, as though it had springs, with drips of water shooting from its body. The seahorse even sprung up from my pocketbook, as though she was playing around. The dream was more magical than frightful. The coworker and I giggled, as water dripped from over our heads.
