Common Lion Scenarios

Being Chased by a Lion

lion dreamBeing chased by a lion is a common lion dream scenario. In this dream, a lion will be hunting you as you struggle to outmaneuver and outrun the lion. In most cases, it is impossible to escape the lion that is following you. You will try everything imaginable, but the lion will still be behind you.

In these dream scenarios, the lion can represent aspects of ourselves that we are trying to run away from. Maybe there is a part of you that wants to change your life, but you continue to choose the path of destruction that is affecting your relationships.

Being chased by a lion can also indicate feelings of aggression and anger that you have towards others in your life. If you have been locking up these emotions inside, they will often find their way out in your dream.

Being Attacked by a Lion

To dream that a Lion is attacking can indicate that you are headed down a path of self-destruction. There might be circumstances in your waking life that have completed overwhelmed you, making it difficult to make any progress.

If a lion bites you, it can indicate that there are people in your life that are affecting you in a very negative way. It might be time to close doors on toxic relationships that continue to “bite” you over and over. Once you say no, your wounds can start to heal after time.

Being terrified by a lion in your dream can indicate that you are aware of the problems in your life and need to address them. This is sometimes your subconscious telling you that you can no longer hide behind closed doors, you have to confront your issues.

Christian Interpretation

To most Christians, the lion represents a symbol of God. If you feel safe around the lion, it can indicate protection and a place of healing. If you have been hurt in your life, a protective lion can show the need to focus on healing those wounds. Lions are symbols of good and a representation of the power of God.

If you are running from a lion in your dream, it can indicate that you are running away from God. It might be time to analyze your life and decide if you are walking down the right path.

A lion’s roar can be telling you to beware of enemies that are conspiring against you. It could be perceived as a warning to stay on the right path in your life. In the bible, Peter compares Satan to a ‘roaring lion’ and warns of the enemy schemes that can destroy us.

  1. I had a dream that I was in a jungle and I heard lions roaring, but I couldn’t see them only their glowing eyes. I was not afraid in my dream

  2. Austin Smith on

This vary vivid dream was in 2015 (my freshman year of high school) a month before a life changing experience that brought me closer to God some 4 years later (I’m vary stubborn haha) Before this I believed in God but not fully, I was filled with doubt. I had little connection to god or lions at the time, I didn’t even know that I’m a Leo. What I’m trying to say is that this dream came out of left field. But has been nagging at me so I feel compelled to share it and would like to hear your feed back. In this dream I was sitting at the top of a tall big mountain looking out at a whole mountain rang that was breathtaking. The range went out as far as I could see. But no snow like when you go skiing. The color was more golden tan. It was a site to take in. I remember feeling so comfortable and calm, I had never felt this way before, not to this extent. It was like that calm you get after pushing through a wall on a really hard run, or while meditating before and all your muscles are relaxed X1,000. Just content, present. I could feel And hear the cool wind on my skin and in my hair, but I didn’t get cold. Then I noticed a male lion laying just off in front of me to my left. He was large and had a beautiful main that would move naturally as the wind blew through it. I could hear him breath Softly and see this chest inflate with air. He was so calm just looking at me. I wasn’t scared by him being there at all. I almost just had this understanding that he wasn’t going to harm me or anything, he just wanted to lay there with me. The whole time I just sat where I was in the moment admiring this lion and the breathtaking mountains. There was no need or want to move, I was so comfortable in that place. (However there was no looking behind me, only forward And side to side from where I was positioned) oh and the lighting was beautiful! That was the best rest I think I’ve ever had. Just a month before my life flipped upside down in an instant, where I had no peace, no outlet. Looking back I’m so thankful for that moment of what felt like presence. It was a true blessing for me. This isn’t something I like to tell people in this much detail because I’m afraid of the response I’ll get. Thank you for reading.

I was at a roof top ..and a lion cub bite me in the hand …so..I threw him off the roof …then a few minutes later …like 10s of lions come towards me …I had locked myself inside roof top room…blocked doors with furniture …and packed myself inside 3 tanks to save myself…and could hear roaring of lions around the room…I was shit scared man..and still one of the lion is above the roof looking from the jaali…it was a weird dream ..what does it mean…can anyone tell?

  4. Suddenly there was a lion. I tried very hard to cage it so that it wouldn’t hurt me or others but I only found boxes to put in front of it. It was ridiculous because the lion could’ve jumped over it or pushed it out of the way. Yet, it didn’t. It didn’t even seem interested in attacking me (just yet) but I was so afraid that I kept looking for better ways to cage it. I couldn’t and decided to hide and protect myself. Make sure it couldn’t get me if it got out. I stepped on other people’s property and used other people’s materials to do so. I was ashamed of that. Maybe I’m running away from god because I’m afraid of what his judgment might be and in doing so hurt others around me?

I dreamt that lions had seemingly overrun the earth and were hunting and attacking people. We were trying to escape them fighting back with everything that we had including grenades. A group of us managed to get inside a large office building but the lions were pursuing us and breaking down the doors that we locked and barricaded. I was trying to fend them off with a bow and arrows when I awoke.

I was I my room it was dark , I was being chased by the lion , but it wasn’t trying to hurt me , but every time I moved it moved , I know it was a lion by it’s movements and Silhouette

    • Victor Yatall on

Biblically a lion represents God. God is seeking you (chasing you)! He wants you to know that he is always with you (every movement you make he is there). You do not need to fear him. Even in the darkness of life he is there.
He wants to be invited into your life and invited to manage every aspect of it. This part is not dream interpretation but reality! By asking him into your life you give him permission to remove all the burden of responsibility for a particular outcome. It will free you! We try so hard as humans to manifest everything on our own…not always consulting our Father God. When we invite him to manage our lives we still participate of course but we allow drama and fear to be released! We stay in Faith that all will be well. We bring our minds purposely to a state of peace! We are set free from the outcome knowing that God will align us with the best result….even when we think we want a particular outcome; God knows what will be best for us.

I have a recurring dream of a lion chasing my child. She runs into the house and I shut the door before the lion gets to the door. I have had this dream a few times. The last time, last night, I had gotten her inside, away from the lion and it went away. I let her back out and it came back again. I’m scared every time but the lion is not attacking. Just seems to be curious. I’m confused about this dream.

  9. yesterday I had a dream about a lion roaring at me , I was scared , but all I did was sit next to it and close my eyes. it moved its head the other way and when I would move it would growl again then the animal tamers came to the rescue. later on in the dream I had a thief in my apartment as well . idk if this is a dream from the devil but I’m super scared by the way I’ve been reading my bible and honestly have been trying to get closer to God this month more than ever .

    • Victor Yatall on

If A lion represents God biblically, I would say that you sitting next to the lion was your attempt at connecting with God. The roar may be God attempting to get your attention, and reciprocating communication with you. When you moved, while sitting next to the lion (God); the lion protested. I would say that the Lion/God was trying to bring your focus back to him. Truthfully God wants US ALL right next to him! The lion did not hurt you. You had fear but it was overcome when the tamers came….but the lion still never hurt you regardless of your own fear! A thief in your home is there to steal from you…to take away something that IS yours and that YOU WANT. A thief can be a demon or the devil….trying to steal, kill and destroy. The lion was by your side….God is by your side. The lion protested your moving away…God wants you near him always! The tamers came and your fear would have lessened…could represent others in faith to back you up or angelic protection.
I would continue to seek God. Give him all your concerns and allow for him to move FOR YOU in your life. Stay in Faith that he is with you. With him you are protected from the thief! Be strong and stick with your devotion. Do not waiver. On your own you are open to things that include demonic interference; with choosing God you have his protection and security. It wont mean that bad things will never arise; but he will be with you, getting you passed them…..especially because you chose to sit next to him, closed your eyes and heard/listened to his roar.
Be at peace. Know he is there. Know you are on the right track! Continue to choose him and strengthen yourself and your protection. He is always ready and waiting for us to choose him. Keep your focus on him and verbally give him each day to manifest in your best interest. Live in the current day and do not dwell/fear the future…or dwell on the passed. This day is the only day that matters and how you work it matters. Keeping peace in your mind on purpose is very necessary! Trusting God gives you permission to let go of all the control; and live in Faith that he’s got your back! It’s very freeing! But do actually verbally give him your cares, concerns to manage…then step back and allow for the situation to unfold like a blooming white rose. Know that any set back in your mind is for purpose…because his plan has not unfolded for your best interest yet. However when/if a demonic block arises like they do when you make it a point to move forward with God or a great idea for your life path; give it to God and press forward with the strength of the Holy Spirit. Even if it doesn’t fruit, God appreciates efforts! Efforts are rewarded in time.

      • I had the most exciting and joyous encounter this past Passover on May 8th and life has never been the same! I’d like to believe and I know for fact, that the Holy Spirit was present that night. Anyway, since that experience that night, I preach almost every day, and I preach- truth. I’m not being pompous, so help me God, for when I start to excessively preach, something comes over me and my tongue gets sharp and whoever is being addressed, receives a very harsh, truthful yet loving and comforting sermon. This is something that has been happening to me since I was young but each time it got scary, I’d stop. When I say scary I mean, when the preaching gets intense and more truths are being said, my body begins to burn up and my heart races. It’s gotten scary and oft weird that my mom will calmly tell me “I have heard you, I understand.” Till this day, I do not understand what it is going on. But since that night, this has surely gotten way more intense. This week, I unknowingly preached to a friend that asked for advice and they left mid chat, but when they stood up to leave, I felt my body feel light. As if the truth had been released and that my friend had heard what was I saying. Right after he left, I started crying bc I felt happy and joyous and started praising God. I then again, unknowingly, got into prayer. I remember shutting my eyes and praying. All I remember, is burning up and loosing my voice but just overjoyed. And in that moment, I saw some cosmic space setting, as I was praying, I saw my self floating like a celestial body in space and there it was just space and many galaxies. I immediately got scared, and said my Amen bc again, I’m just flesh and blood so I will be scared if my prayer starts sending me to some celestial time. Since then, I wouldnt say it is a dream but I keep seeing a Flaming Lion, A great Flaming Lion. It’s roaring but not at me, but I am looking at whatever its roaring at but I cant really see it. This lion in flames keeps appearing oft and I wake up feeling good.

    • I had a dream a young but not baby Lion was in an entryway where I needed to pass through to get outside where my mom was picking me up. The lion got in once and kept trying to stay close to me but we were all afraid the lion could attack so we got it to go back to the entryway but still none of us could leave without passing by and we were all in awe of this wild animal but unsure of how to scare him off. In the end my son was the one to walk by him and open the second door to set the lion free and I was telling all the men to remember it was my son that was brave so we could all leave safely then I was almost to be picked up and the lion was right there again by me. It was scary and beautiful the lion was curious about me ??

      • I had a dream where two lion cubs wandered into my dads house through the back door. The parent lion was looking for them and was scratching at the door to break into the house to find them. My dad was scared to let the lion in. It was just me and him in the front of the house. I figured the lion wouldn’t stop until it had its cubs. I told him he had to put the cubs on the front step and let the lion naturally walk through the house to go to the cubs. He was scared to and dropped the front door key. I picked them up, opened the front door, and jewelry the lion broke through the back and found it’s way out through the front to the cubs. I said, see, told you you had to let it out.. it just wanted its babies. The lion didn’t even look back.
